About Us

Serving Southeast Texas Dentistry Since Our Founding

Uniting private practitioners, public health dentists, and hospital staff across the Golden Triangle to elevate practice standards, protect public health, and mentor early-career practitioners.

Regional Identity

Dental Society of Southeast Texas is a 501(c)(6) non-profit professional association representing general dentists, dental specialists, and practice teams across Jefferson, Orange, Hardin, and surrounding counties. Operating as an official component district of the Texas Dental Association (TDA) and the American Dental Association (ADA), our organization serves as the local voice of organized dentistry in Southeast Texas.

Led by Dr. Luke Harrison, DDS, the society fosters clinical excellence, upholds strict ethical standards, and defends the doctor-patient relationship. Through accredited continuing education, peer review, and public health initiatives, the society ensures Golden Triangle residents receive safe, modern, and high-quality oral healthcare.

History & Foundational Background

Established as an essential component of the Texas Dental Association, Dental Society of Southeast Texas has long served as a professional anchor for dentists practicing across Beaumont, Port Arthur, Orange, and Bridge City. Over its operational history, the society has united private practitioners, public health dentists, and hospital staff to address regional healthcare challenges, including emergency care access and community preventive programs.

Through decades of legislative advocacy, local clinical study groups, and charitable outreach initiatives, the society has consistently worked to elevate practice standards, protect public health, and mentor early-career practitioners entering the Southeast Texas region.
